Data Privacy Policy for accommodation providers regarding Regis­ tration Data/ Digital Travel Guide / Guest Cards

1. Registration Data

1.1 Mandatory registration

According to the Austrian Registration Act, you are obliged to register with us using the data speci­fied in § 5 and § 10 of the Registration Act. It concerns the following data:

Name, date of birth, gender, nationality. country of origin, address including postal code and - for foreign guests - type, number, date of issue and issuing authority of a travel document as well as the date of arrival and departure.


1.2 Guest directory

We will keep this data in a guest directory due to the legal obligation imposed on us in accordance with § 19 of the Registration Act's Implementation Decree and store it for a period of 7 (seven) years, unless it is processed langer for other purposes mentioned in this data protection declara­tion.

[Only for electronic guest directory] We will keep the guest directory electronically, whereby we for­ward the data to an IT processor where the data is stored locally. Data transfer to a third country does not take place.

 

1.3 Sharing of data

The data categories ''Arrival", "Departure" linked to the country of origin are forwarded to the mu­nicipality in which our accommodation is located in accordance with § 6 Tourism Statistics Decree. Aggregated data on the total number of overnight stays and the persons who are obliged to pay the resort tax must also be submitted to Ötztal Tourismus, to which we belang, and/or the correspond­ing municipality of the holiday resort. It is based on § 19 of the Tirolean Residence Tax Act.

 

1.4 Legal basis of data processing

Data processing in accordance with points 1.1 to 1.3 above is based on Article 6 (1) lit c GDPR.

 

1.5 Additional data communication to tourist board/municipality

In addition, we forward your postal code and your year of birth (in a pseudonymized or anony­ mous form) to our municipality and our tourist board for the creation and evaluation of origin and age statistics by the tourism association. This forwarding of data is based on Art. 6 (1) lit e (task in the public interest) and lit f (overriding legitimate interests) GDPR. You can enter an objection at any time for reasons that arise from your particular situation (Art. 21 (1) GDPR).

 

2. Digital Travel Guide

As our guest, you have the opportunity to use a digital Travel Guide and together with the digital guest cards provided by Ötztal Tourismus (see below). In order to enable you to register on the plat­forms of Ötztal Tourismus (Achweg 5, 6450 Sölden), you will receive an invitation e-mail if you have provided your e-mail address. In order to offer this service, we process your name, the period of your stay and your e-mail address. This data processing takes place in order to fulfill our contrac­tual secondary obligations (Art 6 (1) lit b GDPR) and is based on legitimate interests (Art 6 (1) lit f GDPR) to provide a comprehensive range of services in connection with your stay here with us. By clicking on the marked link in the invitation e-mail, you will be forwarded to the Ötztal Tourismus portal, where you can register for the digital Travel Guide. In this context, your name and e-mail address will be submitted to Ötztal Tourismus.

Further details on registration and use as well as on the legal basis of the digital Travel Guide can be found in the respective data privacy information of the responsible service provider.

 

3. Guest Cards (e.g. Guest Card, Summer Card)

3.1 General

You have the option of using some guest cards (e.g. Guest Card or Summer Card) as analogue ("hap­tic") or digital guest cards. Depending on the type of guest card, the guest cards grant you various services included or discounts provided by varied service partners.

The guest cards are issued on behalf of Ötztal Tourismus (Tourismusverband, Achweg 5, 6450 Sölden) only at your request and after consent to data processing via "Pre-Checkin" or on the guest directory sheet. The legal basis for this type of data processing is therefore your consent within the meaning of Art. 6 (1) lit f GDPR. You can revoke your consent to Ötztal Tourismus (dsb@oet­ztal.com) at any time, but it will result in the guest card being blocked and further use of services is no langer possible.

Ötztal Tourismus processes the following data (sometimes optionally) to issue the guest cards: sal­utation, first name, last name, date of birth, country of origin/postal code, length of stay, accommo­dation facility, e-mail address. When using the guest card, as well data on the usage cycle of the re­spective card and use of services are recorded and processed.

For more detailed information on this topic and the legal basis, please refer to the respective data protection information of the provider responsible. Processors - in particular feratel media technol­ ogies AG, Maria-Theresien-Strasse 8, 6020 Innsbruck - are also used to provide these services.

 

3.2 Digital guest cards

In order to use the digital guest card, you must register for the digital Travel Guide (see above). In addition to providing relevant information about the region (e.g. activities, events, offers, etc.) re­ lated to the holiday period, the digital guest card can then be accessed via the digital Travel Guide.

By clicking on the marked link in the invitation e-mail (see above) you will be forwarded to the Ötztal Tourismus portal where you can register for the digital Travel Guide. In this context, your name and e-mail address will be submitted to Ötztal Tourismus. In connection with the registra­ tion for the digital Travel Guide and the use of the guest cards, several data processing actions are carried out by Ötztal Tourismus and the service partners concerned.

 

3.3. Analogue guest cards (e.g. Guest Card, Summer Card)

If you request an analogue (haptic) guest card, the card will also only be issued on the basis of your consent to data processing (via "Pre-Checkin" or on the guest directory sheet; Art. 6 (1) lit f GDPR). Registration for the digital Travel Guide (see above) is not required here.
